Business Studies Tutor

About the role

The Business Studies Tutor will deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies for secondary‑school students at Taidob College. The role involves planning curriculum‑aligned sessions, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, and preparing learners for internal and external examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Business Studies lessons covering commerce, entrepreneurship, business communication, and basic financial literacy.
• Use practical examples, case studies, and real‑life business situations to illustrate concepts.
• Develop students’ critical thinking, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests, examinations and revision exercises.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide feedback, and support learners with difficulties.
• Prepare students for WAEC, NECO and other relevant examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and academic performance.

Required profile

• A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Education, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or a related field.
• Relevant teaching or tutoring experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Business Studies and related commercial subjects.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom‑management skills.
• Ability to simplify business concepts and relate them to real‑world situations.
• Analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital teaching tools.
• Creativity, patience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for student development.
