Arts Teacher

About the role

Hermon Heights Model College is seeking a passionate Arts Teacher to join its secondary school faculty in the Ogunmakin region. You will deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons that inspire creativity while upholding the school’s Christian values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver comprehensive Arts lessons in line with WAEC/NECO standards.
• Administer tests, examinations and continuous assessments, and maintain accurate grading records.
• Manage classroom discipline and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Identify students needing extra support and provide mentorship.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent‑teacher conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school management to promote holistic education.

Required profile

• Minimum H.N.D in the relevant Arts subject.
• Post‑Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) preferred.
• At least 2 years of secondary‑school teaching experience.
• High moral standards and willingness to work within a faith‑based framework.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an advantage.
• Willingness to relocate or commute within the Ogunmakin region (staff accommodation provided).
