About the role

The Business Strategy & Financial Forecasting Expert will evaluate a proposed business opportunity, assess its commercial viability and deliver clear recommendations to senior management. This contract role requires deep analytical expertise to model financial outcomes and identify key risks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the business opportunity, market and model.
• Develop financial forecasts, projections and robust financial models.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins, profitability and cash‑flow requirements.
• Prepare break‑even, scenario and sensitivity analyses (best, expected, worst cases).
• Identify assumptions, financial and commercial risks, and evaluate scalability and sustainability.
• Provide practical recommendations on whether to proceed, modify, or abandon the venture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business strategy, financial forecasting, investment analysis or corporate finance.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement with ability to critique business ideas.
• Experience evaluating new business opportunities, especially in startups, consumer, manufacturing or e‑commerce sectors.
• Excellent report‑writing and presentation skills.
