Business Relationship Manager (Ekiti)

About the role

Moniepoint is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to drive merchant growth across the Ekiti region. The role focuses on expanding the merchant footprint, delivering tailored financial solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, visit, and onboard prospective merchants through field engagement, referrals, and local trade community outreach.
• Educate business owners on Moniepoint’s product suite and recommend solutions that align with their operational and growth goals.
• Achieve and exceed monthly targets for merchant onboarding, terminal deployment, loan disbursements, and repayments.
• Oversee end‑to‑end merchant onboarding, ensuring accurate KYC documentation and compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with merchants to encourage high transaction volume and retention.
• Provide transparent pricing discussions and serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries.
• Gather market intelligence and competitor activity, feeding insights to field leadership.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records and submit performance reports using CRM tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, HND, or OND from a recognised tertiary institution.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, payment services or fast‑moving commercial environments.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding merchant acquisition targets.
• Strong understanding of the local financial services landscape and regional trading dynamics.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM software for field tracking and pipeline management.
• Experience with POS terminal deployment and payment acquiring processes.
