Business Development Officer - Medical Diagnostics

About the role

A leading medical diagnostics and healthcare organisation is looking for a proactive, results-driven Business Development Officer in Lekki, Lagos. The role drives business growth, strengthens strategic partnerships and expands the client base, reporting to the Business Development Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, HMOs, corporate organisations and healthcare providers, and build a pipeline of prospects and partners.
• Drive client acquisition, prepare proposals, presentations and quotations, negotiate and close deals, and meet revenue and referral targets.
• Build relationships with doctors, healthcare professionals, hospital administrators and HMOs, visit clients regularly and support onboarding and retention.
• Run marketing campaigns, represent the organisation at events, conferences and medical outreaches, and support digital marketing such as social media and email.
• Conduct market research, gather customer feedback and produce regular market intelligence reports.
• Maintain client interaction records in CRM tools, prepare weekly and monthly reports, track sales and campaign performance, and carry out other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Healthcare Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in business development, sales or healthcare marketing; prior experience in a medical diagnostics, hospital, laboratory or HMO setting is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and business development targets.

• Market research and analysis, communication, time management and organisational skills.
