Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Officer to join Sherman Gray Limited, a leading construction firm in Port Harcourt. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Research and pursue new business opportunities across relevant markets.
• Develop and implement sales and brand‑visibility strategies.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and business activities in CRM.
• Collaborate with management to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Support marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales or client management.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven track record of meeting targets and closing deals.
• Self‑motivated, confident and able to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with CRM tools.
