Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will lead the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, to drive revenue growth for our healthcare and diagnostic services. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify new market opportunities and build lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full talent sales process, including lead generation, qualification, customer evaluation, and contract closure.
• Present a compelling business case using a consultative, value‑driven sales approach.
• Research and identify emerging markets and customer needs.
• Generate revenue through corporate and SME sales, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
• Achieve sales targets by prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new opportunities.
• Track key account metrics and annual quota performance.
• Collaborate with customer success, solutions, and business development teams to maximise sales outcomes.
• Report weekly and monthly targets to senior leadership.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience in healthcare, laboratory, or diagnostic settings.
• Proven ability to generate growth and revenue.
• Experience developing and executing marketing and sales plans.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent contract, proposal writing, and negotiation capabilities.
• Robust professional network and enterprise relationship management.
