Business Development Manager – Owerri

About the role

The Business Development Manager (Owerri) is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for driving growth for ZETATECH ENERGY within the regional market. The role focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders, and promoting the company’s energy‑storage and photovoltaic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and outreach to potential customers and partners.
• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and negotiate contracts.
• Coordinate with technical and project teams to ensure solutions meet client needs.
• Participate in relevant events, meetings and provide feedback to improve offerings.
• Report on sales performance, pipeline development and regional growth metrics.

Required profile

• Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management and negotiation.
• Experience in energy, renewable power or related technical sectors with ability to explain storage and photovoltaic solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities for engaging clients and internal teams.
• Proven capability in market research, opportunity analysis and strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Familiarity with the Nigerian market, preferably Owerri or the broader region.
• Comfort with CRM tools, productivity software and data‑driven decision‑making.
• High integrity, professional conduct and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
