Solar Sales Engineer

About the role

The Solar Sales Engineer will work on‑site in Owerri, identifying and qualifying solar and energy‑storage projects, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and delivering tailored solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify solar and storage project opportunities.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design system configurations and perform preliminary sizing and yield assessments.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical support during pre‑ and post‑sales phases.
• Manage customer relationships, follow up leads and drive project conversions.
• Maintain accurate opportunity records and generate sales performance reports.
• Support continuous improvement of sales processes and product offerings.

Required profile

• Strong sales‑engineering and solution‑design experience for solar and energy‑storage projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to explain technical concepts.
• Customer‑service orientation with proven relationship‑building skills.
• Relevant degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, inverters, batteries and energy‑management systems is highly advantageous.
• Experience with cost estimation, basic financial analysis or EPC coordination is a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Owerri.
