Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth for Diamond Shine by acquiring new clients and promoting a suite of financial services, including loan products, proof‑of‑funds, and business registration solutions. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery while meeting ambitious sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new clients through prospecting, referrals, networking, and cold outreach.
• Promote and sell loan products, proof‑of‑funds services, and business registration services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Follow up on leads, conduct needs assessments, and convert prospects into customers.
• Meet and exceed assigned sales and business development targets.
• Prepare and submit regular sales and business development reports.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience in loan origination, retail credit sales, fintech business development, or customer acquisition within Nigeria’s financial services industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to identify prospects, conduct cold outreach, and build lasting client relationships.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and consistently able to achieve sales goals.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
