Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth by nurturing existing accounts and acquiring new customers across the Port Harcourt region. Reporting to the Head of Department and Managing Director, the role blends sales, marketing and client relationship management in a fast‑moving legal and compliance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, nurture and manage customer business accounts.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Liaise with engineers, front‑desk staff and CKI officers to monitor customer activity.
• Create and implement regional monthly marketing campaigns.
• Manage quarterly marketing budgets, ensuring approvals and accurate recording.
• Produce and distribute B2B and B2C marketing materials.
• Coordinate and attend trade events and consumer fairs.
• Maintain and update customer databases.
• Develop sales pipelines and track opportunities.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, SMS or face‑to‑face.
• Generate new accounts while managing existing relationships.
• Handle customer enquiries and provide timely solutions.
• Promote solution offerings across all marketing channels.
• Organise and participate in internal and external corporate events.
• Report progress to Head of Department and Managing Director.
