Business Development and Research Assistant

About the role

Generation Capital Limited is looking for a Business Development and Research Assistant based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The role covers primary and secondary research on topics, markets, industries and business opportunities, supporting market and competitor research and keeping accurate records of research findings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary research on assigned topics, markets, industries and business opportunities
• Gather, verify, organize and analyze data from reliable sources
• Prepare research reports, summaries, presentations and other documentation
• Support market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks
• Assist in collecting and analyzing customer, industry and business information
• Maintain accurate records and databases of research findings
• Track industry developments and update management
• Support the team with data analysis and interpretation, and help with surveys, interviews and questionnaires
• Perform other research and administrative duties as assigned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business administration, economics, statistics, research or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in research, data analysis, business analysis, market research or a related role is an advantage
• Analytical, curious, detail-oriented and organized; proactive and willing to learn
• Able to work independently, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
