Brand & Marketing Manager (Hair Care)

About the role

A premium, science-backed hair care company is looking for a commercially minded Brand & Marketing Manager in Lagos. This is a trade marketing and BTL-focused, hands-on role bridging the brand and the shelves, salons and distributors, working closely with the Head of Sales. It also covers the digital presence and DTC channel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute trade marketing plans for modern trade, traditional trade and salon channels
• Design and run in-store activations, product launches and promotional campaigns
• Maintain trade materials such as shelf talkers, POS displays, leaflets and sampling kits
• Monitor competitors and provide regular market intelligence reports
• Own the brand identity and develop seasonal brand calendars
• Brief and manage external creative agencies, photographers and content creators
• Manage social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and digital campaigns driving DTC revenue
• Manage the marketing budget, influencer and brand ambassador relationships, and produce monthly performance reports for the CEO

Required profile

• 4-6 years in brand management, trade marketing or marketing in cosmetics, fragrance, skincare, beauty, trichology, nutraceuticals or personal care
• Demonstrable experience developing and running trade marketing or BTL campaigns
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian retail landscape (modern trade, traditional trade, salons)
• Project management skills for multiple campaigns and deadlines
• Preferred: haircare/beauty experience, founder-led brand experience, vendor relationships and e-commerce/DTC experience

• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools
• Hands-on, execution-oriented approach
