Banking Officer – SME Business Development

About the role

We are seeking a Banking Officer to handle deposit mobilization, credit facilitation, and manage SME accounts in Abuja. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities and ensuring effective loan management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle deposit mobilization and credit facilitation processes.
• Develop new business opportunities and manage SME accounts.
• Review loan applications from SME clients for accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee loan documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure full recovery of disbursed funds and maintain a low PAR.
• Generate revenue through new accounts and key account management.

Required profile

• HND/BSc degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in sales with at least 3 years in the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of achieving business development targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
