Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Assist the Store Manager in driving sales, profitability and operational excellence at our Lagos location. You will ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high standards of customer service and support the team in achieving performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily store performance, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure product availability, proper merchandising, stock replenishment and inventory accuracy.
• Control shrinkage, damages, expiry, wastage and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Supervise, coach and coordinate staff to optimise productivity and shift deployment.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Prepare and review sales, stock, staffing and operational reports.
• Assume responsibility for store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.

Required profile

• HND in Business Administration, Retail Management, Management Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in retail, FMCG or store operations with supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven experience in inventory management, sales monitoring and team supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Familiarity with retail reporting tools.
