Argon and Arc Welder

About the role

The company is seeking a skilled Argon (TIG) and Arc (MMA) welder to support maintenance, repair and fabrication activities on industrial equipment. You will work on machine components, frames, brackets and structures, ensuring high‑quality welds and safe work practices.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MMA welding for maintenance, repair and new fabrication projects.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, sketches and welding specifications.
• Select appropriate electrodes, filler materials and welding parameters for each job.
• Prepare, clean, align and position materials before welding and inspect completed welds for defects.
• Carry out cutting, grinding, drilling and other basic fabrication tasks as required.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, gas cylinders and regulators in good condition.
• Follow hot‑work permits, fire‑prevention measures and plant safety procedures.

Required profile

• OND, HND or vocational certification in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of practical welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven experience with Argon/TIG and Arc/MMA welding processes.
• Ability to identify welding defects and apply corrective actions.
• Good understanding of industrial safety, especially hot‑work and fire‑prevention.
