Area Sales Manager – Multiple Locations

About the role

Sonia Foods Industries, a leading tomato‑product processor in West Africa, is seeking experienced Area Sales Managers to drive growth across three key territories in Nigeria. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, managing distributor networks, and leading a local sales team to achieve volume and value targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company objectives for the assigned area.
• Achieve sales volume, value, distribution and market‑share targets.
• Monitor performance trends and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure effective route‑to‑market coverage, outlet expansion and product availability.
• Manage trade promotions, pricing compliance and stock replenishment.
• Strengthen distributor relationships, review KPIs and identify new distribution partners.
• Lead, coach and motivate Sales Supervisors and Representatives.
• Conduct field coaching, joint calls and performance reviews.
• Maintain in‑store execution standards, merchandising and promotional compliance.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing and dynamics.
• Support new product launches and ensure market penetration.
• Prepare accurate sales reports, track budgets and ensure cost‑effective operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales management, preferably within FMCG or food‑processing sectors.
• Strong understanding of distributor and channel management.
• Excellent leadership and team‑development capabilities.
