Accounts Receivable Officer – Healthcare

About the role

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to manage the organization’s accounts receivable processes, HMO operations and healthcare claims within a medical diagnostics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process invoices for HMOs and corporate clients, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Coordinate claims submission to HMOs, insurance providers and corporate organisations, and resolve rejected or disputed claims.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, generate aging reports and follow up to improve cash flow.
• Post customer and HMO payments, reconcile accounts and statements, and escalate long‑outstanding debts.
• Liaise with HMOs on authorisations, tariff discrepancies, capitation and payment processing.
• Prepare periodic financial reports on receivables, collections and payment trends, ensuring compliance with internal controls and healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, HMO operations, medical billing or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
• Proven ability to manage debt recovery, billing and account reconciliation.
