Accounts Officer

About the role

Odevaspiv is hiring a full-time Accounts Officer in Marina, Lagos. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliation and reporting, and also monitors the financial side of garment production, from issuing materials to finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily records of income, expenses, purchases and payments.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports, and profit and loss reports.
• Reconcile cash, bank transactions, POS payments, transfers and other payment channels.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
• Record materials issued to tailors, cutters, embroidery workers, beading specialists and other production staff, and track production costs such as fabrics, linings, zips, buttons, beads, lace, embroidery, labour and accessories.
• Monitor material wastage, damaged fabrics, production losses and unused materials returned to the store.
• Maintain inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, finished garments and accessories, conduct routine stock counts and physical inventory audits, and reconcile physical stock with records and the accounting system.

Required profile

• A minimum of 3 years of experience.
• A minimum of a degree in a related field.
