Accounts Assistant / Internal Officer

About the role

The Accounts Assistant / Internal Officer will support the sales and customer‑service functions of Robeck Locks Ltd, focusing on acquiring new customers and maintaining existing accounts across Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers such as wholesalers, hardware retailers, furniture makers, carpenters, builders, contractors and interior designers.
• Conduct regular field visits to workshops, markets, shops and construction sites to present product samples, catalogues and pricing.
• Prepare quotations, follow up enquiries, secure orders and develop existing accounts to encourage repeat purchases.
• Coordinate with branches and delivery teams to ensure accurate and prompt order fulfilment.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments in line with company credit policies and maintain accurate records of visits, leads and orders.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of field sales experience, preferably in furniture hardware, building materials, wholesale or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Lagos markets and willingness to travel regularly within Lagos.
• Self‑motivated, organised, trustworthy and comfortable working towards sales targets.

Required skills

• Use of WhatsApp Business for customer communication.
• Email handling.
• Basic spreadsheet skills for managing enquiries and sales records.
