Accounting and Finance Associate

About the role

Kon‑X Ltd is looking for an Accounting and Finance Associate to maintain accurate accounting records, support month‑end close, and provide financial analysis that drives business decisions. You will work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure financial controls and reporting are robust.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger entries, transaction classifications and accurate accounting records.
• Reconcile bank, cash, supplier statements and other control accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable schedules, issue invoices and follow up on collections.
• Support monthly close, prepare management accounts and financial schedules.
• Monitor expenses, payment approvals and compliance with financial controls.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records and reconcile inventory accounts with physical stock.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, monitor liquidity, working capital and funding requirements.
• Develop and update budgets, rolling forecasts and KPI dashboards.
• Track transformation milestones, spending commitments and prepare review packs for capital allocation decisions.
• Support tax filings, statutory reporting, external audits and Odoo Accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including management reporting or budgeting.
• Chartered Accountant, ICAN or ACCA qualification preferred; part‑qualified candidates may be considered.
• Strong Excel skills for financial modelling, scenario and variance analysis.
• Ability to assess financial, operating and market data and present clear recommendations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced financial modelling, scenario and variance analysis).
• Odoo Accounting or similar ERP system.
• Power BI or comparable reporting tools.
• Financial modelling and KPI dashboard creation.
• Experience with budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and inventory accounting.
