Accountant – Hospitality & Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our dynamic hospitality team in Lagos. You will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, monitoring cash flow, and supporting the financial health of our hotel and restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial and management reports.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow and overall financial performance.
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
• Conduct inventory reviews and cost‑control analysis to minimise losses.
• Reconcile bank statements, sales records and other financial transactions.
• Support payroll processing and expense management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Identify financial risks and recommend cost‑saving opportunities.
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
