Account Officer

About the role

We are looking for an Account Officer to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions, preparing invoices and vouchers, and supporting payroll and other payment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Monitor income, expenses and daily transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Assist with payroll and other payment processes.
• Track receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Prepare basic financial reports and summaries.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Support the finance team with other accounting and administrative duties.

Required profile

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Real estate industry experience is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial information.
