Wellsite Geologist – Real-time Subsurface Surveillance

About the role

The Wellsite Geologist will provide real-time subsurface surveillance and wellbore integrity support during drilling and workover operations in Warri, Delta. You will work closely with drilling engineers and production engineers to ensure accurate geological interpretation and optimal perforation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cuttings, mud logs and gamma-ray/resistivity data, correlating them with offset wells.
• Advise on perforation depths, sand tops, potential loss zones and over-pressured intervals.
• Update well schematics, calculate inflow potential, skin factor and lift performance.
• Recommend perforation strategies, stimulation needs and clean-up parameters.
• Validate plug setting depths, cement top verification and zonal isolation diagnostics.
• Quality-assure wireline, PLT and DST data and generate subsurface sections for DOR.
• Support change management for depth or target updates.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of wellsite geology and/or production engineering experience.
• Familiarity with brownfield sands, swamp reservoirs and workover diagnostics.
