Scientist-Chemist – Associate Level

About the role

Halliburton is seeking an entry‑level Scientist‑Chemist to join its research team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. You will work under direct supervision, gaining familiarity with chemical hygiene plans and HSE laboratory safety standards while contributing to the development of new and improved products, processes, and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Follow prescribed safety rules and laboratory protocols while performing assigned duties.
• Apply scientific theories and principles to research and development projects.
• Conduct routine experiments and research under the guidance of scientific leaders.
• Document experimental progress in lab notebooks, reports, and procedural designs.
• Communicate occasional technical information to client personnel and respond to customer needs as directed.
• Participate in professional societies and contribute to cost‑containment and efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed an undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Entry‑level (junior) experience or recent graduate status.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a laboratory environment.
