Warehouse & Distribution Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse & Distribution Manager to lead our warehouse operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency and seamless integration with our logistics partners. The role involves strategic oversight of storage, distribution and inbound/outbound shipments to support production schedules and customer delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically manage the warehouse in line with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Oversee warehouse layout and space optimisation to maximise storage efficiency.
• Coordinate and enforce operational procedures that keep warehouse processes running smoothly and prevent production disruptions.
• Develop and implement strategies for storage and distribution to guarantee timely, accurate deliveries.
• Evaluate facilities, racks and material‑handling equipment, scheduling maintenance or replacements as needed.
• Drive logistics value‑chain optimisation in partnership with service providers.
• Collaborate with vendors and transportation companies to manage inbound and outbound shipments effectively.
• Liaise with haulage service providers to ensure strict compliance with Service Level Agreements.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Business or a numerically‑oriented field; a Master’s in supply chain management is a plus.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proactive, result‑oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Expert knowledge of stock‑control methodologies and route optimisation.
• Experience in carrier negotiation, inbound/outbound dispatch and data‑driven operational efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with enterprise software, specifically SAP.
