Truck Driver

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Truck Driver to operate heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring safe and timely delivery of freight across Lagos and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks on short or long routes while complying with traffic laws and using GPS navigation.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of tires, brakes and equipment, reporting any issues.
• Load, unload and secure cargo with straps, chains or ropes to prevent shifting.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, mileage and delivery receipts.
• Communicate with dispatchers about traffic delays, route changes or road hazards.
• Follow government safety regulations, weight limits and hours‑of‑service rules.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned truck.
• Proven experience as a truck/heavy‑duty vehicle driver (minimum 3 years).
• Excellent knowledge of Lagos roads and major routes.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and basic truck maintenance.
• Reliability, safety‑conscious attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
