Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant will manage daily cash positions, oversee payment processing and ensure accurate bank reconciliations for Terralix Nigeria Limited. This role supports the Finance Manager with cash flow reporting and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cash position and process all approved payments, ensuring three‑way matching (PO, GRN, invoice) before disbursement.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations across all company accounts, investigate discrepancies and maintain complete records.
• Reconcile supplier statements to AP balances and customer accounts to AR ledger on a monthly basis.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash‑flow reports and support the Finance Manager with management accounts.
• Compute and process statutory remittances, submit tax returns and support annual tax audits.
• Post treasury transactions in Odoo ERP, prepare related journal entries and maintain organized filing for audit readiness.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Banking & Finance or related discipline.
• ICAN, ACCA or equivalent in progress (minimum PE 1) or fully qualified.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience with treasury, payments processing or cash‑book management.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and strong knowledge of Nigerian tax legislation.

Required skills

• Odoo ERP (or similar accounting ERP such as Sage, QuickBooks).
• Microsoft Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial analysis.
• Bank reconciliation across multiple accounts.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and cash‑flow reports.
