Technical Assistant to Managing Director – Infrastructure & Logistics

About the role

The Technical Assistant to the Managing Director supports the MD of the Infrastructure & Logistics division with high‑impact strategic, analytical and operational assistance. Acting as a bridge between the MD’s office, business units and external partners, the role ensures decisions are evidence‑based and projects stay on track.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical research, feasibility studies and due‑diligence on infrastructure and logistics projects and present clear recommendations.
• Prepare executive briefs, presentations, board papers and position documents for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, delays and performance variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, consultants and regulatory authorities to obtain updates and align activities with the MD’s strategic directives.
• Review engineering reports, contracts and design documents for compliance before MD sign‑off.
• Coordinate technical meetings, workshops and site visits; produce minutes, action logs and follow‑up reports.
• Analyse operational data, KPIs and financial metrics to generate insights for decision‑making.
• Manage technical correspondence and ensure timely responses to queries from government agencies and partners.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, SOPs and governance frameworks for the division.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting senior executives in infrastructure or logistics environments.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret technical data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent coordination skills with the capacity to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with engineering, construction and regulatory processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for high‑level presentations and reports.
