Tax Manager – Advisory Services

About the role

The Tax Manager will provide high‑quality tax advisory services to a diverse client base, helping them evaluate tax positions and implement effective tax planning strategies. This senior role involves managing multiple projects, building strong client relationships, and driving business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in evaluating tax positions and delivering advice based on current tax laws and regulations.
• Manage multiple tax projects simultaneously, covering a range of issues and industries.
• Review corporate and multinational business structures to identify tax and operational inefficiencies and propose planning opportunities.
• Provide tailored tax advice that meets the specific needs of each client.
• Drive business development and support the firm’s strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, senior stakeholders, and tax authorities.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of tax consulting experience, preferably in CIM, FSI, ENR, M&A, or transfer pricing.
• Experience with a Big 4 firm is an advantage.
• Second‑class (upper division) Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
• Strong business development, financial, analytical, and accounting capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• High commercial awareness, project‑management ability, and client‑focused mindset.
