System Administrator – Onsite (Abuja)

About the role

Moniepoint is seeking a hands‑on System Administrator to ensure the stability, performance, and security of its IT infrastructure. This fully onsite position in Abuja will involve managing servers, networks, automation, and security across a fast‑growing financial services platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain servers, virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems, keeping documentation and SOPs up to date.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot enterprise networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Implement network security measures such as VLANs, VPNs, QoS policies and core services (DNS, DHCP, Directory as a Service).
• Develop automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and use IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) for scalable deployments.
• Build monitoring and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana or Nagios.
• Enforce IT security policies, manage endpoint protection, patching, SSO, MFA and privileged access.
• Support user onboarding and endpoint setup for new employees.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with experience in system and network administration.
• Hands‑on expertise in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, security‑focused setting.
