About the role

We are seeking a Staff Protocol Engineer to lead the design and implementation of next‑generation blockchain protocols. This high‑impact position focuses on building scalable, payment‑focused distributed systems that serve millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver advanced scalability solutions, including throughput optimization and high‑performance execution architectures.
• Lead protocol initiatives such as proposer‑builder separation, MEV mitigation, and transaction ordering systems.
• Develop parallelized transaction execution models for EVM‑based environments.
• Drive low‑latency transaction experiences through pre‑confirmation mechanisms and near‑instant finality.
• Build and optimize core blockchain infrastructure components, including contributions to Ethereum‑compatible clients.
• Explore specialized execution pathways for payment‑focused use cases like stablecoin transactions.
• Collaborate with research, security, and infrastructure teams to safely deploy protocol upgrades.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping, testing, and performance analysis.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high standards for system design and code quality.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in backend, distributed systems, or protocol engineering.
• Strong leadership and hands‑on engineering capabilities.
• Proven track record of building large‑scale distributed or blockchain infrastructure.
