Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

The Chief Technology Officer will lead PCSL’s technology strategy, safeguarding security, data integrity and the reliability of all IT systems. The CTO serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external IT matters and advises top management on technical and security issues.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, networks and security tools.
• Establish IT governance processes and ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage relationships with technology partners, vendors and service providers to guarantee seamless operations.
• Develop architectural blueprints for system development, modification and integration, especially for local instances.
• Oversee incident management, resolve escalated technical issues and promote data centricity across the business.
• Define and execute IT strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving innovation and process improvement.
• Lead IT teams, manage budgets and enforce policies, standards and procedures.

Required profile

• First‑degree from an accredited university or polytechnic.
• Industry‑recognized security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent).
• 8‑10+ years of proven leadership experience in IT or information security.
• Deep knowledge of information security principles, standards and the Nigerian regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and inspire cross‑functional teams.
