Social Media Management & Publishing Officer

About the role

A church in Lagos is looking for a Social Media Management & Publishing Officer to manage its social media accounts and publish approved content. The position is full time, based in Lagos, and the employer states that applicants must be practising Christians committed to Christian values and ministry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and update the church's social media accounts.
• Develop weekly and monthly content calendars.
• Schedule and publish approved graphics, videos, announcements and other content.
• Optimise content formats and captions for each platform.
• Monitor analytics, reach, engagement and audience growth.
• Coordinate with the design, writing and community engagement teams.
• Maintain account security and follow the church's communication guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience managing social media accounts or digital campaigns.
• Minimum of SSCE; good spoken and written English.
• Basic maths skills and computer literacy.
• High-level integrity and professionalism.
• Strong writing, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to interpret basic analytics and use insights to improve performance.
• Must reside within Agric, Ogolonto or Ikorodu Garage, Lagos State.

Required skills

• Understanding of platform algorithms, content formats and audience engagement.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social media scheduling tools is an advantage.
