Senior Mechanical Completions Lead

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Completions Lead will drive mechanical completion activities for a flagship deep‑water mega‑project involving topside modifications and subsea tie‑back integration on a live FPSO. The role spans construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up while managing SIMOPS risks on a producing asset.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Mechanical Completion Plans and execution strategies, define system boundaries and tagging philosophy.
• Lead walk‑downs, punch‑listing and close‑out using an electronic Completion Management System.
• Coordinate hydro‑testing, leak testing (N2/He), purging, flushing and cleaning of static and rotating equipment.
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements and JHAs, and drive NCR closure.
• Support FAT, SAT, SIT, start‑up and performance testing, including functional safety and cut‑over readiness.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, constructability reviews and PSSR.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 15+ years offshore project experience, preferably deep‑water, with 8+ years leading major pre‑commissioning on brownfield projects.
• Proven record in mechanical completion, systemisation and commissioning planning.
• Strong HSE leadership, ability to lead through influence and composure under pressure.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with static and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of FPSO topsides, hull, mooring, offloading buoy, subsea and pipelines.
• Experience with electronic completions management systems, hydro‑testing, leak testing and system cleaning.
• Familiarity with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors, OEMs and specialist contractors.
