Senior Legal Associate (Fintech/Payments)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing fintech company, is looking for a Senior Legal Associate to ensure its payment solutions and business operations comply with legal, regulatory and ethical standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and report to the Head of Legal.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as merchant, partner, NDA and vendor contracts.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries and playbooks to improve efficiency.
• Maintain organized, audit‑ready contract repositories and documentation systems.
• Support corporate governance, legal operations, litigation assistance and advisory services.
• Drive process improvements and scalable legal workflows in a high‑growth environment.
• Collaborate with fraud, HR, finance, sales, product, engineering and customer support teams.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in financial services or payments is a strong asset.
• Tech‑savvy, comfortable with Microsoft Office and legal technology tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, project management and analytical abilities.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous, fast‑paced situations.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and a good sense of humor.
