Sales Representative

About the role

The Sales Representative will act as the first point of contact for walk‑in customers, guiding them through solar solutions that match their power needs and budget. You will educate clients on how solar systems work and help them make informed purchasing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every walk‑in customer, assess their power requirements, budget and duration of use.
• Explain solar system components (panels, inverter, batteries) in plain language and why sizing matters.
• Prepare clear written quotations and recommend appropriate product combinations.
• Follow up via phone or WhatsApp, answer repeat questions, and close sales.
• Hand over completed sales to the records officer for same‑day entry.
• Post‑sale follow‑up to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals.
• Report customer queries, complaints and product gaps to management.

Required profile

• OND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field (advantageous but not mandatory).
• 1‑3 years experience in sales or customer service; solar or electrical sales experience is a strong plus.
• Patient, friendly, clear communicator who enjoys teaching customers.
• Honest approach – recommend what the customer truly needs, not just the most expensive item.
• Good spoken English; Pidgin and a local language are advantageous.
• Resides in or can easily reach Yenagoa.

Required skills

• Understanding of solar system components (panels, inverter, batteries).
• Basic electrical fundamentals (watts, volts, batteries).
• Solar sizing knowledge (training will be provided).

What we offer

• Monthly salary ranging from NGN 70,000 to NGN 100,000.
• Performance‑based sales commission.
