Regional Head, Federal Business

About the role

The Regional Head, Federal Business will lead profitable growth of Credit Direct’s Federal Business vertical across multiple states and hubs. You will translate corporate strategy into actionable plans, ensure superior customer experience, and maintain strong portfolio quality while driving loan disbursement targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual disbursement targets (value and volume) for the region.
• Manage loan‑book health, including NPL ratio, portfolio quality and yield performance, keeping NPL within approved thresholds.
• Translate corporate strategy into state‑level execution plans with clear ownership for each Business Development Lead.
• Monitor performance dashboards, flag under‑performance within 24 hours and implement corrective actions.
• Lead New‑to‑Bank (NTB) acquisition, reactivate dormant accounts and engage large federal employers.
• Coach, develop and performance‑manage Business Development Leads through 90‑day plans, weekly covenants and monthly coaching.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with state IPPIS desks, federal pay offices and government contacts to ensure smooth payroll‑deduction processing.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial banking or credit‑related services.
• Strong track record of achieving loan disbursement and portfolio quality targets.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with government or large institutional clients.
• Ability to translate strategy into operational plans and drive execution across multiple locations.
