Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Quema Consulting Limited is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join its construction team in Lagos. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are financially viable, cost‑controlled, and delivered in line with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies to assess financial viability of proposed projects.
• Develop detailed cost plans covering materials, labour, plant and timeframes.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) by measuring construction drawings.
• Assist in preparing tender packages, manage the bidding process and evaluate contractor quotes.
• Administer contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC), conduct site visits and certify payments to subcontractors.
• Monitor ongoing costs, forecast expenditures and implement cost‑control measures.
• Support dispute resolution by providing accurate cost data and valuations.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting and contract administration.
• Ability to prepare project valuations and manage project costs effectively.
• Experience on construction projects is an advantage.
