Product Design Manager – Lead Design Team

About the role

As a Product Design Manager you will own the execution of Moniepoint’s design vision, leading a small team of designers across multiple product streams. You will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on design to deliver business‑driven, user‑centred solutions that elevate the overall experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of product designers, ensuring project prioritisation, team alignment, and timely delivery of high‑quality design work.
• Mentor and inspire the team, fostering a culture of feedback, learning, and innovation through regular critiques and coaching.
• Manage project timelines, roadmaps, and design workflows to keep the team on schedule.
• Contribute directly to key design projects while balancing leadership duties.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and executives to translate strategic goals into user‑friendly design solutions.
• Advocate for user‑centred design using qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing, and behavioural insights.
• Ensure design consistency and scalability through design systems and atomic design principles.
• Champion accessibility (a11y) and inclusive design across all products.
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to measure design impact and optimise experiences based on data.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading design teams and delivering end‑to‑end product design solutions.
• Strong portfolio showcasing user‑research‑driven designs with measurable impact.
• Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and foster a culture of feedback and innovation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
