Product Design Lead

About the role

As the Product Design Lead at Renmoney, you will drive the company’s design transformation, establishing a unified design language that builds customer trust and supports business growth. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of product and brand designers to create a scalable design system and deliver intuitive, accessible experiences across digital and physical touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a design vision aligned with Renmoney’s mission to simplify financial services.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing design team, fostering creativity and user‑centric thinking.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Renmoney Design System, ensuring consistency across apps, web platforms, in‑store branding and marketing assets.
• Evolve the brand identity, overseeing logo, typography, colour palette and ensuring coherence across all channels.
• Lead UX/UI strategy for mobile apps, web platforms and agent tools, conducting user research and usability testing to refine journeys.
• Integrate customer insights, behavioral data and service feedback into design priorities.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering and Customer Experience teams to align design with business objectives.
• Apply emerging tools such as AI‑driven design and localisation for Nigerian languages while ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Streamline design operations, manage documentation and coordinate with external vendors.
• Present design strategy and outcomes to executive leadership and board members.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in design roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Proven track record of building and scaling design systems in fintech or product‑led environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end UX/UI, design system and brand work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
