Legal Officer – Corporate & Contract Law

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Officer to join our team in Lagos. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to ensure our operations comply with Nigerian laws and protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the company’s legal affairs and provide timely legal advice.
• Prepare, draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with business laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct legal research and offer consultations on contract law matters.
• Support the organization in mitigating legal risks and safeguarding its interests.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); professional certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Business Law and Contract Law, particularly within the Nigerian regulatory framework.
• Proven experience in legal document preparation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
