IT Specialist

About the role

The IT Specialist will support the efficient and effective operation of TechnoServe’s country office IT systems, reporting to the Operations Manager. This role ensures maximum uptime for all hardware, software, and network services across the main office and sub‑offices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor IT hardware and software, including laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, CCTV and biometric systems.
• Configure, deploy and troubleshoot end‑user devices, printers, routers, switches and access points to ensure continuous connectivity.
• Provide first‑line support, diagnosing and resolving technical issues for staff.
• Manage spare equipment inventory, onboarding of new staff, and user training on IT tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with the Regional IT Manager to enforce corporate IT policies and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Oversee vendor relationships, ISP performance, and warranty claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or Master’s with relevant experience).
• Minimum 3 years of IT support and administration experience (1 year if holding a Master’s).
• Experience working in Nigeria, with INGOs or donor‑funded projects is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
