About the role
The HR Officer will play a pivotal role in managing the company's human resources functions, ensuring smooth administration of staff documentation, payroll support, and employee engagement initiatives. This position reports to senior management and collaborates closely with finance and operations teams.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update staff documentation, HR records, and generate regular HR reports.
- Support payroll processes, including attendance tracking, leave management, and deductions in partnership with the finance department.
- Drive employee engagement programs and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and internal HR policies.
- Organise staff training, learning programmes, and development plans.
- Assist with disciplinary actions and conflict resolution when required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with proven expertise in recruitment and performance management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality and ethical standards.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with ATS HR tools
