Head of Human Resources

About the role

eRecruiter is looking for a Head of Human Resources in Lagos. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of HR regulations, professional standards, policies and legislation to make confident leadership decisions, drive people management strategies and lead the HR department's processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR department and its processes, covering reward and recognition, welfare, learning and development and HR systems and budgets
• Develop and lead the creation of effective employment policies
• Analyse and review HR data to identify trends, and determine, measure and analyse KPIs for incentive schemes
• Nurture relationships across departments and provide sound professional advice

Required profile

• Accreditation from SPHRI, SHRM or CIPM
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or a business-related subject; an MSc is a plus
• At least 10 years' experience in an HR role and 5 years in a management role
• In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labour law
• Proven leadership experience managing departments and teams, with commercial acumen and a proactive, agile work ethic

Required skills

• Good knowledge of employment regulations and excellent knowledge of HR practices
• Ability to use office software packages competently
• First-rate communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Time management, problem-solving and attention to detail
