Finance Officer

About the role

Polaris Digitech Limited is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Officer to join its Lagos office. The role supports daily financial operations, ensures statutory compliance, and assists the Finance Manager with accurate record‑keeping and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and process verification‑related payment requests.
• Handle banking transactions for operational activities.
• Prepare and file VAT, WHT, and other statutory returns on time.
• Maintain and update the fixed‑assets register monthly, applying correct depreciation.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform general‑ledger reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and statutory compliance (VAT, WHT, etc.).
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
