Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to own and operationalise its evidence‑based academic model. As Director of Academic Excellence you will translate learning‑science research into concrete curriculum, motivation and technology frameworks while representing the organisation on a global stage.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that turn learning‑science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivation architecture and application development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability and high performance across all school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews and direct observations into ecosystem assessments that pinpoint obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms and milestone management focused on learning outcomes.
• Serve as the principal external representative, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with ministries of education to advance systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in academic leadership or EdTech, with a proven record of measurable impact.
• Demonstrated ability to lead elite teams, drive execution and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Public speaking credibility and experience representing an organisation at international forums.
