Computer Programmer

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is seeking a motivated Computer Programmer to join its technology team in Marina, Lagos. The role involves building and maintaining software solutions that support the company’s real‑estate operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy new software applications and system components.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code and perform code reviews.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications and functional designs.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Conduct testing and quality‑assurance activities to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve functionality and security.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, business analysts and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs and third‑party services.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides and system manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of professional experience as a programmer or software developer.
• Strong understanding of the software development life‑cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, PHP or C++.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks, API design and application integration.
