Business Development and Support Manager

About the role

The Business Development and Support Manager will drive the identification and development of power and energy projects across multiple Nigerian states. You will act as a liaison between the company, government agencies, utilities, and partners to secure new opportunities and support bid processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop power and energy project opportunities in target states such as Lagos, Abuja, and others.
• Collect project leads, tender notices, government plans, private investment data and competitor intelligence.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, utilities, project owners, consultants and local partners.
• Support client visits, technical and commercial discussions, pre‑qualification, bid submission and follow‑up activities.
• Prepare regular project reports ensuring all activities are legal, compliant and transparent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Power Systems, Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial, business development or tendering experience in the power, energy or EPC sector.
• Deep understanding of Nigeria’s power sector institutions (TCN, NERC, NBET, NDPHC, REA, DisCos, GenCos).
• Proven stakeholder coordination, strong execution capability and results‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and experience working with Chinese or international EPC companies.
