Backend Developer – Java & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain robust Java‑based services. You will work closely with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver high‑performance APIs that power our enterprise platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend services using Java, adopting new frameworks as needed.
• Design RESTful APIs for integration with micro‑frontend architectures.
• Implement caching strategies with Redis or Hazelcast to boost performance.
• Build event‑driven systems using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Optimize security, scalability, and performance while following coding standards.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed‑system issues and propose innovative solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Proven experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field and completed NYSC or discharge certificate.
• Strong adaptability and eagerness to learn unconventional Java frameworks.
• Effective communication within an Agile team.
